Australia’s food safety watchdog has issued an urgent recall on a brand of instant noodles being sold in grocery stores across Victoria.

Nissin Salt and Sesame Oil Noodles Aburasoba 82g have been pulled from shelves over fears of an undeclared milk allergen.

The recall notice is in effect for packages of the item marked with the best before date 2026-12-08.

Food Standards Australia and New Zealand warned consumers with a milk allergy who purchased the noodles to avoid eating the product.

“Any consumers who have a Milk allergy or intolerance may have a reaction if the product is consumed,” the agency said in a statement.

“Consumers who have a Milk allergy or intolerance should not consume this product.”

The instant noodles have been available to buy Asian grocery stores across Victoria, with customers urged to return noodles impacted by the recall to the place of purchase for a refund.

“Consumers should return the product to the place of purchase for a full refund,” the alert added.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.”
