A nostalgic sound will soon reach Albany when The Australian Beatles tribute band heads south on its regional WA tour.

Accompanied by Rolling Stones tribute Jumping Jack Flash, the Perth bands will take the double headline show to the Albany Entertainment Centre stage next week.

The two-hour concert will feature colourful costumes and authentic instruments with lookalike musicians performing all the iconic hits from the Beatles and Rolling Stones.

The show will begin with the early years of the Beatles in grey suits and mop-top hair, continuing to the Sgt. Pepper era and beyond to Abbey Road.

Jumping Jack Flash will then pay tribute to the Rolling Stones, covering well-known songs from the 1960s, 70s and 80s.

The Australian Beatles member Dave Swan, who plays Ringo Starr, said the bands were excited to be touring again.

“Pre-COVID, it felt like we were on a constant world tour, we were even booked to perform in Tokyo during the Olympic Games,” he said.

“But we’re now back home in Perth and ready to start our Australia-wide tour right here in WA, we can’t wait to get back to Albany.

“Last time we were in Albany we were performing on a cruise ship — how times have changed.”

Jumping Jack Flash features Tommy Jennis as Mick Jagger and Rocky Evangelisti as Keith Richards.

The show will start at 7.30pm on July 24.
