Someone is about to become an instant millionaire after Albany’s Brooks Garden News sold a winning division one Wednesday night Lotto ticket.

It is the second time in five months that the store has sold a division one ticket after selling a $852,722 winning ticket in May.

Last night’s winner is yet to claim their $1 million prize.

They were one of three division one ticket holders from across the country and the only one in WA.

There were thirteen 13 two winners, including two in WA, set to receive $5702.50 each.

Brooks Garden News co-owner Nicole Pomery said the team had champagne at the ready for when their division one winner walked through the doors.

“We are over the moon,” she said.

“It has taken us 11 years to sell one winning ticket and now we have sold two in five months — we are in a bit of shock.

“We have no idea who it is, it is an unregistered slick pick but we do hope it is one of our regulars.”

Ms Pomery encouraged ticket holders to come down to the store on Chester Pass Road to check if they were the lucky ticket holder.

“We didn’t experience that with the first winner so it will be hard to contain the excitement but we have to be pretty careful because of privacy.”

The winning numbers were 14, 43, 41, 9, 21, 31, (3), (22).
