Ag show not running this year

Augusta Margaret River Times

This year’s Margaret River and Districts Agricultural Society show will not go ahead due to uncertainty forced by the pandemic.

The group committee met on Tuesday and decided low volunteer numbers and the short timeframe to get the show going was too difficult, despite the recent lifting of restrictions.

“Combined with State borders remaining closed, which hinders some vendors gaining access to WA, we feel that we have no choice but to cancel this year’s show,” the group said. “We appreciate that this will be disappointing to many people, however, please remember that we are a small committee of volunteers and that this decision was not made lightly.”

The group encouraged new volunteers to join to help with preparations for next year’s annual event.
