The Christmas spirit has made a shift this year, with the annual Carols in the Park to be held on the oval at Gloucester Park because of COVID-19 restrictions.

Tonight’s Surfside Church celebration starts at 7pm with a feast of entertainment to get revellers in the festive mood.

Co-ordinator Kathryn Seisun said highlights this year included the high school’s River Lights Choir, primary school carollers from Bella Melodia, and singers from the local homeschool community.

Music will be backed by the Margaret River Concert Band and the Margaret River Community Band and Choir.

Margaret River Lions will offer food, and there will be other vendors selling ice-cream and coffee, with festive candles also for sale.

Sunday’s Christmas Fair has also moved to the Margaret River TAFE campus, operating from 8am-1pm.
