Chance to have your say on plan
The Shire of Augusta-Margaret River has extended public consultation on a major new foreshore management plan for Prevelly and Gnarabup to increase local participation.
Shire landcare services co-ordinator John McKinney said some previous information sessions had gone ahead, but others had been rained out.
Mr McKinney hoped an indoor session would bring more people to offer feedback on the project. “Prevelly and Gnarabup hold special places in locals’ hearts, which is why we want to gather as much community input as possible,” he said.
“It’s vital we protect and restore the diverse cultural and environmental values of this coastal strip, and this plan — along with valuable community input — will be crucial in making this happen.”
While a drop-in session at Prevelly’s The Common Bistro was held last night, further written submissions can be lodged before July 14 at firstname.lastname@example.org.
