Popular Margaret River DJ Boston Switch is changing gears for a Christmas Eve gig at The River.

The show would be his second hometown performance apart from his fundraiser gig earlier this year, performer Blake McDonald said.

“The last event was amazing, but we actually had the DJ decks damaged before I jumped on so it was a very makeshift set with only one side to cue tracks, but the atmosphere was incredible,” the DJ said.

Punters are promised a great mix for the Christmas Eve show, and the DJ said he thought the season’s greetings would be a hit with the crowd. “Christmas Eve will be amazing,” he said.

“Being from Margaret River, I know it’s the time of year the majority of the locals that have moved away get to be back home for Christmas and family.

“Even myself, I’m usually playing at Left Bank or Ice Cream Factory Festival for it, and trying to get back down south for a day with my family.”

“It’s really exciting to be based in my home town for Christmas Eve and see a tonne of familiar faces.

“Everyone is out for Christmas Eve. It’s a great catch-up.”

McDonald has released his latest track, Summer Sun, which he will play during the upcoming show. Check it out at https://ffm.to/summersun.
