Several packages containing about 80g of cocaine, which was packed for sale, were allegedly intercepted.

Busselton detectives said the charges were part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of illicit drugs in the South West.

Mr Bauer has been charged with possession of prohibited drugs with intent to sell or supply, conspired to possess a prohibited drug other than methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply, supplied a prohibited drug (cocaine), possession of cocaine with intent to sell or supply, possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property, and possessed any drug paraphernalia in or on which there was a prohibited drug or plant.

Busselton detectives executed further search warrants in Dunsborough on September 7 resulting in a 45-year-old woman being charged and arrested.

She will appear in Busselton Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday charged with two counts of attempt to possess prohibited drugs with intent to sell or supply, two counts of conspired to possess a prohibited drug other than methylamphetamine with intent to sell or supply, possession of cannabis with intent to sell or supply, seven counts of offer to sell or supply a prohibited drug to another, possession of a prohibited drug (cannabis), possessed drug paraphernalia and possession of stolen or unlawfully obtained property.

Police will allege the man and woman are involved in an interstate drug syndicate, attempting to source cocaine and cannabis for sale in the region.

Cannabis infused confectionery was also located along with other items of interest to the investigation.

The investigation into other members of the syndicate, and local associates, is ongoing with Busselton detectives working with police from the Eastern States and further charges are likely to be laid.

Mr Bauer is next due to appear in Bunbury Magistrate’s Court on October 22.

Anyone with information regarding the sale or distribution of drugs in the South West region is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report the information online at www.crimestopperswa.com.au. Information can be provided anonymously.
