Football Margaret River is holding the club’s mid-season fundraiser at The River next Friday.

The August 6 event kicks off from 4pm with an open invite to players, friends and families, as well as the wider Margaret River community.

Club publicist Charlotte Thompson said the soccer club fielded teams across numerous age groups and always relied on community support to continue.

“There will be a silent disco, bouncy castle, live music, raffle, sausage sizzle and much more,” she told the Times.

“Everyone from the community is welcome. We encourage everyone to come along and help our community sports club raise some money. FMR wouldn’t be where it is today without the help of the Margs community.”

While tickets would be available on the door, the venue had limited capacity and keen attendees were encouraged to book online at Oztix.

The fundraiser is free to children under 12 and registered players, with $5 for juniors and adults $10.
