The Cowaramup Lions Club is hosting its annual car boot sale extravaganza this weekend.

Held tomorrow morning at Cowaramup Oval in conjunction with the Lions’ annual auction fundraiser, the car boot sale will give residents a chance to re-use and recycle, organisers said.

“Alongside the auction this year we have included a car boot sale for people to sell their treasures and make a little money on the side,” the club’s Les Heywood told the Times.

“It’s a great time to declutter. The Lions will be conducting their famous sausage sizzle and selling cool drinks at the event. Come and support the Cowaramup Lions Club by selling your wares or hunting for a bargain.”

Sellers are asked to start setting up at 8am preparing for a 10am opening.

The auction will take place during the sale, with an Eagle blower-mower-slasher and a 7KVA generator among some of the big-ticket items.

The club would also sell its usual truckloads of hay, cow manure, and firewood on the day, which wraps up at 1pm.

Check out the club’s Facebook page for registration details or contact Lawrie Dwyer on 0419 045 005 or Les Heywood on 0417 156 322.

All proceeds from the auction will go to community projects.
