Police are calling for witnesses to a serious incident which left a man in hospital after he was allegedly hit by a truck in Margaret River on Wednesday morning. About 5.30am on March 15, a vehicle believed to be a light truck attended a Water Corporation property on Bussell Highway between Higgins Street and Churchill Avenue. Major Crash Investigation Section officers said as the truck reversed, it allegedly struck a man who was already at the site. The victim, a 43-year-old man, sustained serious injuries and was later airlifted to a Perth hospital for treatment. Police said the truck left the scene without anyone rendering assistance and the victim was later discovered by members of the public.
