Parents and volunteers from the Margaret River BMX Club have unveiled a fun new competition as members seek a new logo.

The club committee this week opened the competition to designers willing to help with the growing club’s logo needs.

The competition, which runs until August 20, will offer $100 cash, a Forest Adventures pass and a t-shirt featuring the new emblem.

Committee member Taryn Prince said the volunteers welcomed any expressions of interest in the competition for a logo which would be incorporated into club branding on t-shirts and merchandise.

“Money raised from the merchandise will go towards a new start gate for the club, something the club has been fundraising for the past couple of years,” she said.

“This year Margaret River BMX has a new president and vice-president who are passionate and excited to finally get this dream of a new start gate across the line.

“We have nearly raised enough money to hopefully turn this dream into a reality next year.”

With the season poised to kick off in October, the club also welcomed new riders and volunteers across all age groups.

Young male and female riders are all welcome and the youngest division includes two-year-olds.
