Margaret River-Busselton Tourism Association cuts hours at attractions as COVID-19 cases rise

The region’s peak tourism body is reducing hours across its attractions, and plans to shut down its Dunsborough visitor centre for good as Capes operators brace for a quiet month or two as COVID-19 bites. “With the WA border now open and the expected peak in COVID-19 cases we are expecting a very quiet few months ahead,” MRBTA said in an email. “Hopefully Easter school holidays will still be busy. “It’s imperative that MRBTA attractions make adjustments to ensure that we are operating in a way that is as financially responsible as possible.” Hours at the group’s two lighthouses would change while it monitored visitation levels to Jewel and Mammoth Cave.
