Booming production levels have led the Margaret River Chocolate Company to offer a second dream position eating all of the chocolate they can handle. The Wilyabrup business stirred the ambitions of chocolate lovers everywhere last year when they advertised the “dream job” as a trainee chocolatier. Now company director Martin Black said a new recruit was needed to add to the growing demand on the business. “It is a new position as we continue to increase manufacturing back towards pre-COVID-19 levels,” he said. “The rare opportunity is for an inexperienced, but highly motivated, chocolate lover to join the chocolate factory team and learn how to become a chocolatier.” The full-time position included a flexible 38-hour work week, no night shifts, a fun family atmosphere, and “eating chocolate is an essential part of this job,” Mr Black said. “The company is ideally looking for someone local to fill the role, and while previous food skills would be helpful, they are not essential,” he said. The company had trained numerous chocolatiers during the past two decades, many of whom had gone on to careers all across the world. Budding chocolatiers could also expect to feature in a few Instagram posts, with the chocolate company on the must-do list for numerous celebrities visiting the region, especially during the Margaret River Pro.
