The Cowaramup Lions have received a $2000 easy grant from the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River to paint a mural at the new Cowaramup Community Garden.

The CCG is part of Lions project that includes a BMX bike track, a future nature playground and adult exercise area celebrating the centenary of Cowaramup Lions.

The grant will go towards materials for two local artists, Rebecca Cool and Kama Shattock, to paint the sea container creating a centrepiece for the garden.

Rebecca will enlist the help of children from Cowaramup Primary School for her mural.

Cowaramup Lions committee member Val McAuslane said the garden would provide a location for the community to learn about sustainable gardening.
