School questions identity through art

The West Australian

Margaret River Senior High School’s annual Creating Identity exhibition will open at Jahroc Galleries tonight.

The exhibition showcases art, photography, woodwork, metalwork art and catering, all produced by Year 11 and 12 students.

High school art teacher Caroline Juniper said students prepared all year, and most items would be for sale.

“The purpose of Creating Identity is to expose students to the realities of preparing works and catering for an art exhibition,” she said.

Doors open at 6.30pm and the exhibition runs until Sunday.
