Augusta Margaret River Times

The lack of COVID-19 cases in the Margaret River region has driven school attendance well above the State and regional average.

Margaret River Senior High School principal Andrew Host said students continued to return in increasing numbers.

The school posted 82 per cent attendance on Monday, with the regional average at 70 per cent and 75 per cent in Perth.

“With such high numbers in classes, we have been able to effectively deliver face-to-face teaching to the majority of our students,” he told parents via email.

Mr Host encouraged any parents and students facing difficulties to contact Student Services and year co-ordinators for support.
