In a successful bid to generate excitement and intrigue, Busselton Dymocks and The River Hotel have secured renowned Australian novelist Craig Silvey for back-to-back author events.

The esteemed author of Jasper Jones will present to Busselton’s avid readers on October 13 and to Margaret River’s community on October 14.

The events will see the beloved author showcase his highly anticipated book Honeybee for which readers have had to wait eleven years.

Silvey said the theme of his new book, to be released on September 29, was about the importance of support and understanding.

“I put everything I have into writing Honeybee. It tore me up, but it filled me with joy. I’m enormously proud of it,” he said.
