Long boarders will return to the waves for the annual Yallingup Malibu Classic this weekend at Yallingup Main Break.

Hosted by the Indian Ocean Longboard Club, the competition is in its 33rd year and marks the end of the 2017 WA longboard competition season.

This year’s competition consists of 13 divisions, including the newly introduced over-35 women’s category.

Past winners include Justin Redman, brother of professional surfer Melanie Redman-Carr, who last year won the open division for the 11th time.

Entry to the competition is via surfingaustralia.com and registration is at Caves House, Yallingup today at 6pm.
