Product recall: Nature’s Own health supplements urgently pulled from shelves over glass fragment risk

An urgent recall has been issued for two popular health supplements over fears they could contain glass fragments.

The Therapeutic Goods Administration has ordered the Nature’s Own products, produced by Sanofi Consumer Healthcare, to be pulled from shelves.

The glass fragments may be present within the bottle, not the tablets.

“There is a risk of users being cut when handling the product, and it could also be harmful if accidentally swallowed,” the TGA warning reads.

The recall affects:

• Nature’s Own Glucosamine Sulphate with Chondroitin (320 pack) with a batch number of 3517371662937 and an expiry date of April-2028.
• Nature’s Own Magnesium Glycinate 1150mg (300 pack) with a batch number of 4644931665576 and an expiry date of April-2028.

Consumers with the product have been urged to return it to the place of purchase for a refund, or to contact Customer Care on 1800 451 453 or via recallchc@sanofi.com.

The recall comes less than a day after Australia’s food watchdog ordered the recall of a popular lolly sold at supermarkets across Australia.

Nestle Australia detected plastic in 130gram packets of its Allen’s iNSiDE OUTS, fruit flavoured gummy cubes.

Consumers were warned not to eat the product and instead return it for a full refund.

The product has been available for sale nationally in Coles, Woolworths, independent retailers including IGA and convenience and petrol retailers.

It affected products with a best before date of June 30, 2027 and batch numbers: 6072T941, 6073T941, 6074T941, 6075T941, 6085T941 6086T941, 6088T941
