South Western Times and City of Bunbury to honour top sporting performers on Friday night

The South Western Times and the City of Bunbury will welcome top sporting performers from across the region on Friday night during the annual Sport Star of the Year Awards night. Hosted at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre, the night will highlight a selection of finalists in eight categories, including the the South Western Times’ AJ (Tood) Buswell sports star of the year award. The City will present the Myles junior sport star of the year award, as well as honouring the top para-athlete, coach, official, team, volunteer, and event of the year. The evening will include entertainment and dinner for those attending, with tickets available online at eventbrite.com.au. The ceremony will be preceded by local sports talkers Scord South West, who will live stream the event, and will see local sporting identities come together to celebrate a successful 2023, starting at 6pm. Those in the running for the prestigious Buswell award include Jye Amiss, Ella Roberts, Nina Kennedy, Leigh Kohlmann, Damian Lane, Chloe Piparo, Donnell Wallam and Alex Winwood.
