A man involved in a single vehicle rollover on Vasse-Yallingup Siding Road last night has been charged with drink driving and firearm possession.

Last night’s scene was attended by volunteer fire and rescue crews and police, who helped extract the vehicle’s single occupant.

While the man narrowly escaped injury, police allege he was driving in excess of 0.05 and firearms were uncovered.

Police urge people to drive safely, and not to drink and drive.

Double demerit penalties are being enforced this long weekend.
