Hard work and dedication paid off for a Margaret River bakery last month when it was handed a cracking amount of accolades at the Tasmania Fine Food Awards.

Local artisan baker Margaret River Cracker Company raked in the champion trophy for Best Baked Product at the competition alongside a swag of other gold medals for their wine cracker entries.

It comes just five years after husband-and-wife bakers Bryce Bettenay and Nicola Wilkins opened the business, with the intention to source all ingredients from the Margaret River Region.

Ms Wilkins said she was excited to have the business recognised by such a prestigious award.
