Senior business leaders to take on Cape to Cape Track to raise funds for youth mental health charity Zero2Hero

A group of more than 25 senior WA business leaders will hit the Cape to Cape Track next week to raise funds for a good cause. The trekkers will head off as part of the Cape2Cape CEO Trek, raising funds for youth mental health empowerment charity Zero2Hero. Executives from a range of WA businesses will complete the 135km journey from Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse over five days, with the group so far raising more than $640,000, beating the record of previous treks. Grounded Logistics chief executive Paul Natoli is the top fundraiser, having raised more than $105,000. He said he felt compelled to support the charity’s efforts, having seen the impacts of its programs. “On a personal level, having tragically lost two dear friends to suicide, and with two young children myself, this cause resonates deeply with me,” Mr Natoli said. “It’s essential for me that they grow up understanding it’s acceptable to seek support and speak openly about their struggles.” Credential Construction director Willie Boylan is the second-largest fundraiser, raising more than $84,000. He got involved after his son attended Zero2Hero’s Camp Hero program last April. “He went to the camp just a typical teenage boy and he came back a different man,” Mr Boylan said. “Having seen the impact of this program first-hand, I knew I had to get involved.” The CEO Trek is not only designed to raise funds, but to spark conversations about youth mental health within the participants’ industries and workplaces.
