Man aged in his 20s shot in the torso in Alkimos

Police are investigating the shooting of a man in Perth’s northern suburbs in the early hours of this morning.

Joondalup detectives, who are investigating the incident, say a man in his 20s was found at about 3.30am in Callosa Crescent in Alkimos.

The man was being treated by St John Ambulance for a gunshot wound to his torso.

He was taken by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital where he is in a serious but stable condition.

The West Australian has been told the incident is not bikie or gang related.

“At this time an investigation is underway into the circumstances and police believe the incident is isolated and there is no concerns for broader public safety,” police said in a statement.
