A bus driver has been left red faced after he failed to negotiate a roundabout properly in busy Leederville this afternoon.

The mishap occurred near Oxford Street and Anzac Road and resulted in the longer “articulated” bus jackknifing and wedged up against a fence.

The incident has since been cleared and the bus is moving again.

PTA spokesman David Hynes said it was a simple case of the driver not driving around the roundabout correctly.

“It was an articulated bus and the driver turned too sharply, which caused it to jackknife and lock up,” Mr Hynes said.
