A motorbike rider in his 60s is being airlifted to Perth with serious leg injuries after a collision with a car near Busselton.

The rider was travelling on the Vasse Highway, near the intersection of Sues Road in Yoongarillup, about midday when the crash between his bike and the other vehicle occurred.

The West Australian was told the man landed in the middle of the road, where he lay motionless but conscious.

One St John Ambulance crew from Busselton arrived just after 12pm, and treated him at the scene.

The man was complaining of pain and sustained a number of wounds as well as fractures to his right leg.
