Race day excitement drew hundreds to Wandecla Race Course in Kojonup on Saturday for a full afternoon and night of racing and entertainment. The six-race program began at 1.15pm and ran into the late afternoon, with big crowds lining the track to watch the action unfold. The feature event of the day, the Kojonup Agricultural Supplies Cup, delivered a competitive finish, with Magic Mikey taking out the win under jockey Ashleigh Woollett. Away from the track, fashions on the field proved a crowd favourite, while foot races and the ever-popular men’s undie race added plenty of laughs for the afternoon. Racegoers were also spoilt for choice with a range of food trucks on site, offering a variety of cuisines throughout the evening. As the final race wrapped up, attention shifted to the entertainment with a live band kicking off to keep the celebrations going into the night. Even a late downpour of rain failed to dampen spirits, with racegoers dancing and singing all night long, rounding up a memorable day at the Wandecla Races.
