The Diamonds are slipping into their sequins and sliding on their dancing shoes ahead of their Kalgoorlie-Boulder performance this Saturday.

The concert will feature more than 50 songs in a medley of the biggest global female hits.

Band member Shikye Smith, pictured, said it was the girls’ first public event in Kalgoorlie- Boulder after a string of corporate performances over the years. “I am really excited for this one,” she said.

“I really enjoy getting out to regional Australia particularly, because it is not often that they get something like our show out there, so everyone is always really excited to see the show and chat with us afterwards.

“They bring a really exciting energy for us performing for them — for us, the regional areas are really great.”

Since their launch, The Diamonds have performed for global audiences in Sydney, Singapore and the Caribbean.

Smith said the show had something for everyone, regardless of age or gender.

“We pay tribute to artists starting in the 1940s and we go all the way through to today's artists like Alicia Keys, Gaga, Beyonce and everything in between,” she said. “The thing that I love about the show is it doesn't matter what your taste in music is — you get there and there is always a song that you know and there is always a song that you can’t help but tap your foot and sing along to.”

Local blues and rock band Powderkeg will kick off the show at Centennial Park at 6pm. The show is the final Sunset at the Soundshell concert of the summer.
