WA Police are still searching for answers to a mysterious disappearance after a 44-year-old Perth man was last seen travelling through the small Mid West town of Paynes Find more than three weeks ago.

Matthew John Eves was last spotted on January 2 about 9.30am at the Paynes Find Roadhouse on Great Northern Highway, about 140km south of Mt Magnet.

As of Monday afternoon, police had no further update.

Mr Eves was driving a white Mitsubishi Triton registration WL 4977 and believed to be travelling north to Kununurra, according to police.

He is described as about 171cm tall with a shaved head, blue eyes and wearing a white T-shirt and black shorts.

Unlike the accompanying picture, police say he does not currently have a beard.

Police believe Mr Eves’ car could have run into mechanical problems when he stopped at the Paynes Find Roadhouse, but have confirmed he continued north towards Mt Magnet on January 2.

Authorities hold serious concerns for his welfare.
