Happy ending after missing elderly man back home in Belmont

UPDATE: An elderly man who was missing on Monday has been found safe and well.

Earlier on Monday, WA Police were concerned for the welfare of Simon John Shannon, 70, who was last seen in Belmont on Monday morning and hasn’t returned home.

Police revealed on Monday evening that the man had been found safe and well.

Police asked the public for help to locate him after he left an address in Belmont on Monday morning and didn’t return.

The 70-year-old left on foot and police said he “appears frail and walks very slowly”.
