“This Presenter of the Year award nomination is made possible thanks to the hard work and dedication of the Town’s employees, who have helped bring shows such as the Melbourne International Comedy Festival Roadshow, Mama Stitch and so much more to the local stage.”

Mr Carter said the venue also provided support to cultivate the growth of grassroots performing arts in the town, particularly through supporting the endeavours of Hedland Amateur Theatre.

“I’m pleased the Town continues to deliver on the outcomes of the Arts and Culture Strategy, including building a reputation as a place for makers and creators and amplifying local stories,’ he said.

“Congratulations to the Town’s Matt Dann and Community Development Teams on the nomination - I look forward to finding out which venue wins the award later in the year.”
