Police are seeking the Paraburdoo community’s help to identify the offender of a “brazen” incident overnight which left a car with a smashed windscreen.

It is alleged an offender broke into the Paraburdoo Police station compound overnight, targeted a civilians vehicle and smashed the windscreen

Parabadoo police officer-in-charge Sergeant Carl Fjastad said a forensic examination had been conducted with samples collected.

Sgt Fjastad said police believed it was a premeditated and was possibly an act of revenge.

“We believe we have a good connection with the community in general but by the nature of our duties we do upset people when charges are laid,” he said.

Sgt Fjastad said the perpetrators clearly felt they would not be caught.

“If the community hears any bragging from individuals please contact crime stoppers,” he said.

“An act against police is an act against the community — we can’t police without the community’s help.”
