The finals are set for the West Pilbara Cricket Association, with Pegs Creek securing the top spot for the twenty-over competition despite losing to Wickham Wallabies in the final round of the regular season.

Wickham took on Pegs Creek at Ros Jone Memorial Oval on March 15 with the home side winning the toss and sending Pegs in to bat.

The Wallabies took advantage of the new ball, with Mitchell Crosby removing the in-form Lachlan Seabrook for just seven runs before taking out first drop Tharindu Ilanperuma for a golden duck.

During a second burst by Crosby three more wickets fell, with Pegs collapsing to 5-26.

Aaron Fenaco (20) and Samual King (20 not out) helped to rebuild the Pegs Creek innings but it was too little too late, with Pegs finishing their 20 overs at 7-92.

With a low total to defend, Pegs were boosted by some much-needed strong bowling. Mitchell Smith and Deon Carr were dismissed early to leave Wickham stumbling at 2-11.

A 48-run partnership between Brooke Bal (17) and Craig Nunn (29) steadied the run chase before a late wobble almost cost Wickham the game.

Needing one run off the final three deliveries, Nunn appeared set to guide his side home before losing his wicket.

Jade Johnson remained calm and hit the winning run off their first delivery to give Wickham the three-wicket victory and secure third place on the ladder.

In the other games, the Nickol Hawks demolished the Baynton Lions by eight wickets at the Karratha Leisureplex.

The Lions won the toss and elected to bat but were restricted to 9-110 off their 20 overs.

Hawks made easy work of the run chase with first drop Waqas Ahmad blasting 48 off 33 to steer his side to victory with more than five overs remaining.

Hawks finished on 2-115.

Meanwhile, Karratha Falcons took down Dampier Taverners to clinch second on the ladder with a 13-run victory.

Batting first, the Falcons made 6-135 led by Cody Bone scoring 65 before restricting Taverners to 6-122.

Cameron Gordon top scored for Taverners with 42 while Shane Edwards and Richard Anderson were the stand-out bowlers for Falcons with two wickets each.

The semifinals will take place on Friday, March 22 when Falcons face-off against the Wickham Wallabies at Bulgarra Oval and Pegs Creek will take on Nickol Hawks at the KLP.
