Police to intensify searches Trisha Graf one month after mysterious disappearance in South Australian outback

Authorities have announced they will resume their search for missing woman Trisha Graf more than a month after she disappeared in the South Australian outback – with her case already declared a “major crime”. Ms Graf, 41, was last seen leaving the Roxby Downs hotel with a friend shortly after 12.19am on December 12. In a statement on Monday, South Australian Police said they will be resuming their search activities for the missing woman from Tuesday – which will take place at “several locations identified during recent investigations”. Police confirmed this would include door knocks in Andamooka and in the vicinity the 41-year-old woman was last seen from Wednesday. Major Crime Investigation Branch officer-in-charge Detective Superintendent Darren Fielke said the searches will focus on discovering evidence related to the investigation. Detective Fielke also said police “know” people were with Trisha at Roxby Downs Hotel and saw her after she returned to Andamooka. “We need to speak with them,” he said in a statement. Ms Graf was driving a white 2012 Ford Territory with South Australian plates S254BCX, about 560km north of Adelaide, when she hit a kangaroo shortly before reaching Andamooka, a remote town about 30km east of Roxby Downs. Ms Graf and her friend continued to Andamooka and visited a home in the northwest area of the town. She left just before 2am and travelled a short distance to her own home, and was last seen driving along Dunstan Drive. Ms Graf’s partner and her friend began searching for her just after midday on December 12. They found her car perched on a dirt mount near Blue Dam, east of Andamook. The Ford Territory had damage consistent with the collision with a kangaroo, but could not be driven because of its location on the dirt mound. Police, SES crews and community members conducted a ground and aerial search, covering a 4.7km radius of the abandoned vehicle, while police divers searched the dam, but did not locate Ms Graf. Further searches involving police from the Far North, Port Augusta, Missing Persons Section and Polair have also failed to find any trace of the missing woman.
