The Emergence Creative Festival will feature a drone race through Amaze’n Margaret River, with brave pilots wanted to take part.

Thursday’s event will let drone pilots navigate through the maze to test their skills and celebrate the new technology.

Emergence chairman Mat Lewis said the race day would be a great afternoon.

“It’s basically an opportunity for registered drone pilots to navigate around a course at the Amaze’n Margaret River,” he said.

“With the value of some of the drones, we’re probably looking at bringing in some more destructible models in case of damage.”

Mr Lewis said the Australian Drone Film Festival would return on April 1 at The Beer Farm, featuring live music and the best films shown at the Flying Robot International Film Festival. He said entry would cost $50 for participants.

The Emergence festival will run from March 29 to April 1.
