The Lions Club of Leeuwin will put 150 items under the hammer at tomorrow’s auction in Augusta.

Items for sale will include a licensed fishing dinghy, two kayaks, and six loads of chopped firewood, while stalls will be selling potted plants, clothes, books, sports gear, furniture and more.

Lions club member Ross Fimister said viewing would start at 8am for a 9am start.

“The auctioneer will be Alec Williams, who last year ran a highly successful clearance auction for the Ipsen family in Augusta,” he said.

He said funds from the auction would go to the Asthma Foundation and a Parkinson’s Disease group. He said the club would also donate $5400 to recent visitor John Olsen, who arrived in Augusta on Christmas Eve after walking the length of Australia to raise funds for leukodystrophy research.
