Shark all-clear for Hamelin Bay
Authorities have issued a shark warning after five long-finned whale carcasses were located on the western side of Hamelin Island near Hamelin Bay.
Four of the carcasses were reported by a member of the public last night and a fifth was spotted today.
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development said it was possible the carcasses would attract sharks and to take caution in the area near Hamelin Island, Hamelin Bay and Foul Bay.
A whale carcass was reported at Boranup Beach yesterday but has since been removed.
If you see a shark, report it to the Water Police on 9442 8600.
