Finals Fever: Fixtures confirmed for second week of South West Football League finals at Brunswick, Margs

The South West Football League has confirmed its fixture for the second week of finals, with Augusta-Margaret River to host Bunbury on Saturday. It means Bunbury will come in off a six-day break for the first ever second semifinal at Gloucester Park, while Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault will be given an extra day’s break after their loss to Bunbury before taking on Busselton. On Saturday, Bunbury and AMR will also meet in the first semifinal in the colts, after the Bulldogs lost to Carey Park at home at the weekend. In the reserves, the Bunbury derby will be taken on the road, being played at Gloucester Park at 12pm on Saturday, immediately prior to the league game, which starts at 2.10pm. The winner of the league clash between the Bulldogs and the Hawks will go straight through to the grand final in a fortnight’s time. On Sunday, HBL will host the first semifinal at Brunswick Oval for the second year in a row, after their defeat in the qualifying final. The Sunday fixtures at Brunswick Oval also include the women’s preliminary final between South Bunbury and Busselton from 1.30pm, as well as the colts second semifinal between Busselton and Carey Park and the reserves second semifinal between HBL and Busselton. WATCH THE QUALIFYING FINAL BETWEEN HBL AND BUNBURY ON DEMAND HBL and Busselton’s league clash will start at 3pm, with preceding games to start earlier to accommodate for extra time, should it be required. It is the second year in a row the Lions have hosted the first semifinal at Brunswick Oval.
