Shark warning for Augusta

A shark warning has been issued for Augusta’s Flinders Bay after a whale carcass was found washed ashore about 1pm today.
The carcass has been removed, but the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development has warned residue where the whale was beached could still be acting as a shark attractant.
Caution is urged for people using the water between Dead Finish Anchorage, Flinders Bay and Augusta Marina.
If you see a shark, report it to Water Police on 9442 8600.
