Bunbury, Dunsborough and Margaret River homes among best in the business at construction industry awards night

Homes in Bunbury, Dunsborough and Margaret River were among some of the best displays of craftsmanship across the South West, the residential properties taking out top gongs at one of the construction industry’s most prestigious awards nights. The South West Building Excellence Awards, held on August 20, showcase builders who demonstrate exceptional craftsmanship and commitment to building excellence in the residential and commercial construction industry in the South West. The awards also recognise the quality of work achieved by engaged contractors and tradespeople. A home by WA Country Builders on Marlston Drive in Bunbury won the award for Best Contract Home between $430,000-$500,000, while a Plunkett Homes property on Lecaille Court in Dunsborough won Best Contract Home between $500,000-$650,000, as well as awards for Excellence in Concreting and Excellence in External Finishes. A Plunkett Homes build on Osmington Road in Bramley, just outside Margaret River, won the award for Best Contract Home $320,000-$370,000. Casey’s Carpentry Services, contracting through WA Country Builders, won Tradesperson of the Year for work on a Spoonbill Road home in Vasse. Master Builders Association executive director John Gelavis said the awards highlighted the hard work that had been achieved during a difficult two years. “During such unprecedented times, we were pleased to see our regional members continuing to deliver excellence in their work,” Mr Gelavis said. “It’s great so see such high quality and consistent product being delivered in the South West region by proud MBA members like WA Country Builders and Plunkett Homes.”
