Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry to host SW Future Jobs and Skills Forum Virtual Conference

The future growth and potential in the South West region is set to be discussed at a virtual event next week. The South West Future Jobs and Skills Forum Virtual Conference, hosted by the Bunbury Geographe Economic Alliance and Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry, will be held on Thursday, June 23. The BGCCI has invited people from across the region to join an audience of professionals, influencers and students to hear from a high profile line-up of keynote speakers. Presentations will be from across a range of industries and explore how innovation and technology will influence the future of work and industry in the region. The speakers will include Department of Education, Skills and Employment State manager Bruce Needham, Alcoa of Australia human resources manager Lyn Bluett and Westrac general manager technology Alister MacPherson. Regional Chambers of Commerce and Industry WA chief executive Kitty Prodonovich will host the event, which is hoped will discover how to activate the South West’s potential and build its economy for the future. The virtual conference on June 23 will have a morning session from 8.30am to 11.30am and an afternoon session from 1.30pm to 4.30pm. Tickets for the event are $130 for the day for members and $150 for non-members, or $80 per session for members and $95 for-non members. Tickets for students and school groups are $20 and $250 for the day. The event is sponsored by Alcoa, the City of Bunbury, Shire of Dardanup, the State Government, the South West Development Commission and the Local Jobs Program.
