Christmas weather: Bunbury, Busselton to hit 39C as Perth tipped to reach 42C amid festive heatwave
Perth is preparing to sweat through record-breaking temperatures on Christmas Day and the South West is set to share some of the heat.
A festive heatwave has hit the city this week, with Perth facing a string of high 30C and 40C days before reaching a roasting 42C on the big day.
The hot conditions are expected to continue south, with high 30s expected across the region for the long weekend.
Prepare to slip, slop, slap this silly season as Bunbury, Busselton and Manjimup are both tipped to hit 39C on Christmas Day.
Harvey is set to top the region with a sweltering 41C, while those celebrating in Margaret River will face a slightly cooler 38C.
Don’t expect any relief come Boxing Day, with very hot and sunny conditions to bring temperatures in the high 30s through to early next week.
