Dozens of people attended the launch of one of the South West’s cosiest events last Thursday night.

Cabin Fever held its annual opening event to kick off the 10-day festival in style, with people gathering in the cabin set up on Busselton Foreshore.

Everyone was enjoying the live music, the cosy aesthetics and drinks provided by Shelter Brewing Co and Banks and Bloom Distillery and Lab.

A variety of food was handed out, with the fresh produce supplied by Endeavour Foods.

The attendees heard from the organisers from the AHOY Management team along with the partners from Shelter Brewing Co, Vasse Felix, Banks and Bloom Distillery and Lab, the City of Busselton, the Shire of Augusta Margaret River and Endeavour Foods.

“We are once again proud to support Cabin Fever, a fantastic winter festival that brings vibrancy, unique experiences and visitors to the region,” said Busselton mayor Grant Henley.

“It’s an excellent, fabulous event that really showcases what I really do believe is the best time of the year down here,” said Shire of Augusta Margaret River councillor Kylie Kennaugh.

“It’s really great to see that it’s not just people coming into our region, that over 50 per cent of the people who participate in this event are locals and it’s the one time of the year where we can almost get out and do that,” said Ms Kennaugh.

Cabin Fever has a variety of different events running from July 14 to July 23.
