Fremantle superstar Nat Fyfe has showcased the South West’s premier tourism region to his hundreds of thousands of followers across social media platforms. The Fremantle captain and teammate James Aish soaked up the Margaret River region’s famous wineries and stunning landscapes, sharing the images to social media. The post was part of a paid partnership with global accommodation supplier Airbnb. The Instagram post shows Fyfe relaxing, exploring and playing chess with Aish in a plug for the region. “These pics are from a trip with @airbnb in the Margaret River region a few weekends ago,” the post read. The pair travelled to the region before the senior players returned to Fremantle’s Cockburn training facility for pre-season sessions. It was Fyfe’s first post on Instagram in nearly three months, since sharing pictures from the Brownlow Medal count, held in Perth for the first time in September. He also shared an Instagram story of him and Aish touring local winery Burnside Organic Farm — a family operated “biodynamic” farm just north of Margaret River. Fyfe appears on track to return to the Fremantle side for round one of next year’s AFL season after a shoulder injury, which then became infected, forced him to miss the back-end of this season. He went under the knife again in the off-season but is back training with the Dockers’ main group. Fyfe was also confirmed as Fremantle’s captain for another season by the club on Wednesday.
