Injured surfer pulled from river, flown to Perth after incident at popular South West break

A man has been flown to Royal Perth Hospital after an incident at a popular surf break in the State’s South West.

The man, who was surfing at the River Mouth at Margaret River, was extricated from the river by local State Emergency Crews just after 10am this morning.

The RAC rescue helicopter was also called, and flew the man to RPH, where he arrived at about 1.25pm.

The extent of his injuries are unknown.
