Mid-career artists taking on a collaborative project have the opportunity for a unique artistic residency in the South West.

The Minderoo Foundation is offering the chance for up to four artists of all artistic disciplines to stay at The Residence at Yallingup’s Cape Lodge, one of the South West’s most coveted retreats, and pursue their project over the course of a month.

Artists are encouraged to submit an expression of interest to the Minderoo Foundation’s Arts & Culture team by March 22, after which selected projects will be invited to provide more detail to a judging panel.

The one-month residency is available between August 28 and September 25.

Minderoo’s Arts & Culture project manager Helen Mathie said she encouraged all artists interested in pursuing an ambititious and creative collaborative project to apply for the residency.

“Mid-career artists need impactful support and this residency is an opportunity to collaborate broadly across all art practices,” she said.

“Artists can work with other creatives to share their skills and experiences while learning from others.

“It’s a unique placement at an exclusive residence, designed to focus on a bold project to advance or strengthen their practise and career sustainability.”

Successful applicants will receive support from Minderoo, including accommodation, artist payment and family support payment where needed.
