Bunbury and the South West have been hit hard as the State’s south coast was lashed by storms this week.

Margaret River, Collie Busselton, Manjimup and Bunbury all recorded wind speeds of up to 113km/h as many homes in the region were left without power.

The southern parts of the region were hit hardest, with Cowaramup receiving 63.6mm of rain this week and Margaret River 52mm, putting them among the wettest areas of the State.

Collie received 42.8mm this week, while Bunbury had 29.8. Showers are predicted to continue throughout the week and into next, with Bureau of Meteorology models indicating another two cold fronts will cross tomorrow and Sunday.

If these eventuate, they will bring the total number of cold fronts in the region to five in eight days.
