Fresh off the high of winning the Harvey Fresh Cup for the first time in five years, the Harvey Bulls will be fighting to keep a potential finals berth alive this weekend.

Harvey Bulls will host Augusta-Margaret River at Harvey Oval on Sunday in what is set to be a crucial clash as the Bulls continue to press their case for the finals.

With just four rounds of the 2022 SWFL home and away season left, the Bulls are fighting with Donnybrook for a top five finish.

Both teams have a 7-8 record, with Harvey sitting above Donnybrook on the ladder separated by just 0.73 per cent after the Bulls defeated Harvey-Brunswick-Leschenault 18.11 (119) to 13.5 (83) to win the Harvey Fresh Cup last weekend.

The Bulls will also be looking to extend their winning streak to a third week.

Bulls coach Mark Pink said while it was nice to get the Harvey Fresh Cup monkey off their back, the squad would need to win at least two of their last three games if they were to make the finals.

“We would like to think with how we’re travelling we’d be able to do it,” he said.

“If we don’t win against Augusta-Margaret River, we’ve basically got to win our last two.

“It’s very cut-throat, but I think we’re up to it.

“We’ve been playing sort of elimination finals for a few weeks now and we’ve got ourselves into this position so we have to try and get ourselves out of it and try to make the finals.”

For Augusta-Margaret River, Sunday will provide another opportunity to continue solidifying their spot in the finals.

The Hawks sit in second place on the ladder with a 12-3 record, just four premiership points behind table-toppers Bunbury (13-2), and will be returning from a bye after previously recording a convincing 11.10 (76) to 5.9 (39) win over Collie in round 17.

Last time the Bulls and the Hawks met, Augusta-Margaret River held off a late comeback from Harvey to take the win 10.13 (73) to 10.3 (63) at Gloucester Park in round nine.
