It may be the middle of Winter but South West locals and visitors are invited to escape into a world of indulgence as Cabin Fever returns for 2022.

Kicking off from Friday July 15 and running until July 24, the South West region is set to be taken over with a variety of events showcasing food, wine, beer and live entertainment.

In the midst of 10 days’ worth of events, the festival is set to welcome The Cabin, which will be popping up on the Busselton Foreshore on July 15-17.

Presented in partnership with Shelter Brewing Co, The Cabin will play host to a huge line-up of live music acts, entertainers and workshops for three days of non-stop revelry.

Guests of The Cabin will have the chance to taste some of the South West’s best local wine along with Shelter’s range of brews, including their Bonfire Stout, and mulled wine, hot spiked chocolate and warm spiced cider.

The Cabin will also feature plenty of local talent including Wooden Fox, Bleu Haze Baby, DJ Layers, Brayden Sibbald and The Dunn Bay Wailers, along with drag queens Donna Kebab and Rhonda Civic.

Shelter general manager Paul Maley said the team was looking forward to having a new neighbour on the Busselton Foreshore for the weekend.

“The Busselton Foreshore is such a great spot at any time of the year, so to see it fully alive in the middle of winter with pop up bars, live music, great brews and good food is really exciting,” he said.

The Cabin is just one of many events set to take place during the 10-day Cabin Fever festival, with a number of events already sold out.

Events taking place throughout the festival include Wine’s A Drag - wine tasting featuring drag performances, a Taco Truck Fiesta, cocktail making workshops, Fondue by the Fire, cooking demonstrations by renowned Cape Lodge Tony Howell, Belters at Shelter - a rowdy evening of singing, drinks and food, a cheese toastie battle, and the cult classic Blazing Brews at Beerfarm.
